Kelley Coyner, CEO and founder of Innovation4Mobility, discusses the current state of autonomous vehicle (AV) development and deployment, and how this technology marries accessibility, connectivity, electrification, and “shareability” to get the best possible outcome from our transportation system. She also touches on low-speed AVs in transit, including case study examples where these autonomous vehicles are being utilized to improve mobility and the quality of life in communities. Finally, Kelley ties the recently passed Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to the critical ways in which US infrastructure needs to be improved for more widespread use of AVs.
