Vik Bhide, chief traffic management engineer for the City of Tampa, Transportation & Stormwater Services, is a regional subject matter expert in Smart Communities planning and deploying urban mobility solutions. He chairs the Hillsborough Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Intelligent Transportation Systems Committee. Vik also leads Tampa’s Smart Cities Program. Vik has been instrumental in program development, design, and deployment of Advanced Traffic Management Systems for most of the municipalities in the Tampa Bay region. He is a key member of the Tampa Connected Vehicle Pilot team, the Marion Transit Way Autonomous Shuttle Service project, and the Smart Lighting project.

Former Florida Transportation Secretary Ananth Prasad on Infrastructure
For nearly four years Ananth Prasad served as Florida’s Secretary of Transportation. More recently, he’s been a senior vice president and National Transportation Practice Leader at HNTB. At the end of 2016 he wrote an op-ed piece on investing in the nation’s infrastructure.
