New Jersey Transportation Agencies Take Steps to Build Resilience

Transportation systems are quite vulnerable to the forces of nature. This is especially true of the technology that is used to manage the transport networks. ITS New Jersey recently held a technology forum to look at what’s being done to make the system more resilient. Among the speakers were Bill Kingsland, the Assistant Commissioner for Transportation Systems Management in the New Jersey Department of Transportation and Eric Daleo, Senior Director of NJ Transit‘s Resilience Program. Both talked about what their agencies are doing to make sure their agencies can quickly bounce back from disasters.
